MOBE helps people struggling with the ups, downs, and confusion of health issues. We had the privilege of hearing from one of our participants at a recent MOBE event. Sue shared her story and her search for answers and relief. (Above: Sue pictured with her MOBE Guide, Rob.)
I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis on my 45th birthday. I kept having health episodes—fatigue, symptoms like a heart attack, tingling and numbing in my leg—and for years, the doctors couldn’t figure out what was going on.
Finally, after a bunch of tests, they found a problem and switched my medicine. I started feeling so much better. It was like coming out of a fog.
Around that time, I had been getting things in the mail from MOBE, but I was skeptical. I had been on another program that didn’t do anything. I figured it would be the same thing.
When I first started talking to my MOBE Guide, Rob, I was reluctant. He said, “if you join the portal, I can send you a video and some literature and we can schedule a follow up appointment to talk.”
On our call, I told Rob I had read all these articles on the signs and symptoms of MS, and all the new drugs, but I had a hard time finding things to just help you with your health. Rob told me, “This is what we do.” So, we started talking about sleep, healthier eating, mindfulness, medications…I started making changes and feeling better. I started seeing the brain-and-body connections between your thoughts and the ways you eat, sleep, and exercise.
For so many years, I felt like I had no control over my life. MOBE helped me realize the things I can control, and how to be okay with letting go of the things I can’t.
MOBE is just awesome. It pulls everything together. It’s the missing piece I had been searching for and hadn’t been able to find. Now, I feel like I’m on my way.
