Recipe: Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie

Submitted by MOBE Guide Mike

This smoothie is rich, creamy, and packed with peanut butter goodness. Spinach sneaks in extra nutrition that you won’t even taste. It’s perfect as a quick breakfast, on-the-go lunch, or afternoon snack.

Prep time: 5 minutes
Total time: 5 minutes
Serves: 1
Serving size: Approximately 2 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups unsweetened almond milk (or other dairy alternative or dairy milk of your choice)
  • ½ medium banana
  • ½ cup baby spinach
  • 1 ½ tablespoons no sugar or salt added peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate protein powder

Instructions

Add all ingredients, liquid first, to a high-speed blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into a glass. Serve.

MOBE kitchen tips:

  • For a thicker smoothie, use ½ of a frozen banana (versus fresh).

Recipe notes:

  • If the chocolate and peanut butter combination isn’t your favorite, feel free to switch it up. Use vanilla protein powder instead of chocolate and substitute strawberries in place of banana.
