Recipe: Fruit and Herb Infused Waters

These easy-to-make infused waters are refreshing, flavorful, and colorful. They’re also all-natural, low-calorie, and contain no added sugar, so you can feel good about enjoying them regularly. Here’s three flavor combinations to try, but you can experiment to find your favorite pairing to allow for a fun and simple way to reap all the benefits of staying hydrated.

Ingredients

For each option:

  • 32 ounces of water
  • Ice

Lemon Rosemary Infused Water

  • 2 medium lemons, sliced
  • 4 sprigs of fresh rosemary
  • ½ -pint raspberries

For garnish (optional):

  • Lemon slices
  • Rosemary sprigs
  • Raspberries

Lemon Basil Ginger Infused Water

  • 2 medium lemons, sliced
  • 1 inch piece of ginger, peeled and sliced
  • Large sprig of basil with multiple large leaves

For garnish (optional):

  • Lemon slices
  • Basil sprigs

Cucumber Mint Infused Water

  • 1 medium cucumber, sliced
  • 12 leaves fresh mint, torn

For garnish (optional):

  • Cucumber slices
  • Mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Wash the fruit, vegetables, and/or herbs. Slice the fruits and vegetables and tear the sprigs or leaves of the herbs.
  2. Add the ingredients into a large pitcher of water and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
  3. Then, remove the fruit and herbs. Pour over ice and garnish as desired.

MOBE kitchen tips:

  • These recipes call for refrigerating the water for 24 hours to infuse flavor. However, you can refrigerate for as little as 4 hours and still get the flavor infusion. The longer the water sits chilled in the fridge, the stronger the flavor.
  • Be sure to remove the seeds from the lemon slices, so they don’t end up in your water.

Recipe notes:

  • Try different combinations of herbs, vegetables, and fruit to find your favorite pairings.
  • If you’d like bubbles in your infused water, pour the infused water into a glass over ice and then add seltzer to the top. A ratio of ¾ infused water to ¼ seltzer water is often a good mix.
