Your MOBE Guide is a trained health professional who is dedicated to your well-being.
They’re also an accountability partner, someone here to offer support. Your Guide will get to know you better over time, which will allow them to zero in on your unique health goals and values. They’ll also take the time to understand the barriers keeping you from reaching your goals, so they can help you find creative solutions to get you where you want to be.
In addition to their health care expertise, your Guide understands the psychology behind lasting behavior change. They are highly skilled at helping people harness their motivation and close the gap between where they are and where they want to be.
Your first call is will probably last around 30 minutes. Think of it as a casual conversation, a chance to get to know each other. You’ll have the chance to ask any questions you have about MOBE, and your Guide will ask you about your health journey so far.
Specifically, your Guide will want to know about your current habits and patterns around four key areas of health: nutrition, sleep, stress, and exercise. They’ll be curious about what you eat day-to-day, how your sleep, what stressors or hardships are happening in your life, and how much movement you get in a typical week. This is a judgement-free zone so please feel free to be yourself and answer honestly—your Guide is genuinely interested in you, your life, and what you envision for your future.
This first call will start to lay the groundwork. It will give your Guide the chance to understand your goals and immediately start looking for resources that are specific to your life. They’ll start to piece together how to help you connect the dots between all the areas of your health and well-being.
